Workers Prefer Private Health Insurance to Get Their Family Covered

When a company offers health insurance to its employees, they are happy to take it but now some recruits who work in small companies are getting into private health insurance because their spouse and children will be covered under this type of insurance and it will be less cheap than the company’s insurance plan. A survey done by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Health Research and Educational Trust, and we came to know that thirty seven percent workers who work in a company with three to 199 employees can expect to pay 50 percent or more of the premium to get their family covered, compared with just 5 percent of employees at larger companies. Gary Claxton, a vice president at the Kaiser Family Foundation said “It’s hard to gauge how many people are opting out of employer-sponsored coverage, but the numbers could increase if employees face further cost increases and are willing to take less generous insurance coverage.”

New Cars Are Considered To Be Safe

According to the insurance industry new cars are considered to be safe, Ford Motor Co. and Honda Motor Co. had the most vehicles on the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s annual list of the safest cars for the 2008 model year. Cars and trucks with electronic stability control, required by the institute. Adrian Lund, the institute’s president said “Vehicles should be designed to provide good occupant protection when crashes occur, but now with ESC we have the possibility of preventing many crashes altogether.” Honda and its Acura unit had seven vehicles on the list: the Honda Accord, Odyssey, Pilot, CR-V and Element, and the Acura MDX and RDX SUVs.

If you want to have American Express’s Premium Car Rental Protection, you have to make payment of either $19.95 or $24.95 per rental. Coverage is provided any where in the world except vehicles rented in Australia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, and New Zealand, before taking a decision on whether to accept or reject the rental policy, you should talk to the rental company and ask what insurance they are offering.

Man Got Imprisonment against False Insurance Claim

According to the state Office of the Attorney General, Frank M. Petrelli, 26, of Colonial Court, pleaded guilty in state Superior Court in Hudson County to Petrelli confessed and told the whole story, In 2004 he planned to play a game, gave his car to someone else so that people think that the car has been stolen, then he reported that he parked his Audi (1998 Model) in Hoboken and now it is missing. According to the plan Petrelli filed a false auto theft claim to the New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co and he was paid $13,101 against the claim. John Jay Smith, deputy chief prosecutor with the state Office of Insurance Fraud Prosecutors said that the car was found abandoned about a week later in East Orange. Company spokesman Patrick Breslin said “The bottom line is that any fraud is an ultimate cost for the honest policy holders, our company takes that very seriously. Every case matters and sends a message to the perpetrators.”
